Fiona Halton is Chief Executive of Halton-Bridge. Halton-Bridge specializes in the social business, not-for-profit and arts sectors. Halton-Bridge is Searchlight Recruitment's Managing Partner in London, UK.
Fiona's areas of expertise include philanthropy, venture philanthropy, corporate social responsibility, the arts, fundraising, media and entertainment. She has worked across Europe and, more recently, in Asia.
Prior to founding Halton-Bridge, Fiona was Chief Executive of Pilotlight for 13 years, where she created Pilotlight's unique model for working with business. Pilotlight helps charities grow by placing teams of senior business people to coach them in business skills and tools. Six years of figure show that, a year after working with Pilotlight, partner charities have grown to twice their size and increased their turnover by 50%.
Fiona is also Chief Executive of Philanthropy in Action, which studies and trials different models of philanthropic engagement.
Previously, Fiona inspired a new generation of volunteers in leading the successful Timebank volunteering project, launched with the BBC.
Fiona, as Co-Director, helped launch the first ever Comic Relief, which raised more than £13 million. Since the charity was launch in 1985, it has raised over £750m.
Fiona also initiated British Film Year, for which she won the British Sales and Marketing Award. That same project also led to Fiona being runner-up in the Veuve Clicquot Business Woman of the Year.
